Despite being over 11,000 years old, coracles are still going strong

Coracles are still widely used today. In parts of Wales, they are used for fishing. You fish from a coracle either with a net being dragged upstream between two coracles, or by attaching part of the net to the shore and dragging the other part of the net upstream.

In places like Pakistan, India, Tibet and Korea, coracles are used for transportation. These are big craft and can transport many people. And of course, they are still used nationwide in the United Kingdom for demonstrations to promote their use
